Every August, House of Ruth’s community comes together to prepare children for a strong start to the school year.
Thanks to your generosity, 120 children in our programs stepped into their classrooms ready to learn. Their backpacks were full.Their uniforms were fresh. Their smiles said it all.

For families rebuilding after trauma and abuse, this annual drive means more than pencils and paper. Your donations mean kids walk into school proud and prepared, and parents can focus on healing without the added stress of school expenses.
Building on a Strong Foundation
Year after year, your support makes this possible. What’s remarkable is how the tradition continues to grow:
- Dozens of individuals purchased clothing and shoes from our registry.
- Partners like Zuckerman Spaeder LLP, The Gathering Spot, The Mack Foundation, RSM US LLP, and JLL & Pembroke stepped up with backpacks, lunchboxes, and supplies.
- Volunteers including Catherine Alabi, Edeline Dormevil, Shakarra McGuire, Dominique Perkins, Mikyla Tuggle Scott, Mu Lambda Alpha Phi Alpha, and The Association of American Medical Colleges provided the many hands to label, sort, and assemble all of the uniforms and school supplies.
Together, you made a difference—one notebook, one uniform, one child at a time.
